At the Prague Central Gallery
Meet the masters of modern art
How about seeing three great contemporary artists all in one place at the Prague Central Gallery? The three-story Central Gallery, located in Prague's Old Town Square, devotes each floor to one artist. The first floor displays sketches, sculptures, and other masterpieces by Salvador Dali, the father of Surrealism. He is famous for his unique lifestyle, and his imaginative and provocative works are on display. Next, admire the works of Alphons Mucha, a Czech painter, illustrator, and graphic designer. Best known for his stylized and decorative theater posters, Mucha became the face of the Art Nouveau movement. Head up to the top floor to explore the relationship between artistic expression, advertising and entertainment culture with colorful pop art by American artist Andy Warhol.
