Kyoto's landmark, Kiyomizu-dera
Kiyomizu-dera is part of ancient Kyoto's cultural assets designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kiyomizu-dera is famous for not a single nail being used in the entire temple building.
Kiyomizu-dera's 'Kiyomizu' means clear water, and the name comes from Otowa Falls, which flows from the surrounding hill. Otowa Falls is said to bring wisdom, love, and longevity to visitors who drink its water, so be sure to try it!
