Exhibition room A
- This is a space where geological samples such as fossil materials realistically reproduce the old Lake Biwa.
- In this exhibition room, the past environment of Lake Biwa and its surroundings is recreated based on scientific data, and exhibits that help you understand the research process leading up to the reproduction are also on display.
Exhibition room B
- It is a space where you can feel the footsteps of old people who lived in the various nature of Shiga Prefecture, such as the life of the Jomon period, the waterside lifestyle, and Maruko boats running on the lake, with forests, waterside, lakes, and villages in the background.
- At experiential exhibitions, fun photo spots, and AR corners, you can view Maruko boats and the scenery around the lake from the Edo period on your tablet or smartphone.
Exhibition room C
- This is a space that combines the scenery of 'Lake Biwa', 'Yoshihara', 'rice fields', and 'rivers and forests'. In the center of the exhibition room, a collection of living things and actual specimens are displayed, expressing the diversity and beauty of the creatures living in Lake Biwa. do.

- The Lake Biwa Museum's underwater exhibition hall boasts an exhibition area of approximately 2,000,60 square meters and is one of the largest freshwater life exhibitions in Japan.
- The aquatic exhibition room displays more than 100 species of fish, including almost all types of native fish that live in Lake Biwa and the rivers of Shiga Prefecture.
Discovery Room
