My own Taiyaki
Did you know that Taiyaki actually originated from Japanese Taiyaki? Eating freshly baked bungeoppang is more exciting than anything else. It's good to buy it on the street, but how about having a special gourmet experience by making your own Taiyaki with the ingredients you want in a unique Japanese space in Asakusa?
I would like to introduce the 'Tokyo Guraku Taiyaki Making' class to those who want to make a special memory during their trip or those who want to show their own style in Taiyaki. The Taiyaki making class will be so much fun that you'll feel like you're in a Taiyaki Tycoon game.
At Tokyo Guraku
Become a taiyaki chef
In Japan, the country of snacks, tasting various snacks is a must. At Kuraku, a taiyaki restaurant located in Taito-ku, Tokyo, you can make and taste taiyaki yourself. Don't worry if you can't cook. The friendly staff will help you and you can make 6 bungeoppang per person. Also, takeout packages are available, so you can take any leftover bungeoppang with you.
Because it is located a 4-minute walk from Asakusa Station, it is a very convenient class to schedule during your trip. So, shall we visit Kuraku to make your own taiyaki?
Carefully selected ingredients, carefully selected taste
'Guraku' taiyaki is made with quality ingredients and always pursues the best taste. We use traditional red bean paste that our artisans spend a lot of time making with the highest quality red beans from the Yamato region. This additive-free red bean paste contains only red beans, sugar, and salt, allowing you to fully enjoy the original taste of the ingredients.
With ingredients for your own bungeoppang
At Kuraku, you can not only use basic red bean paste but also bring your own ingredients to make your own original taiyaki! Bring whatever ingredients you want to make it, from fruits and snacks to wasabi. How about adding Japanese specialties or representative snacks? You might discover a surprising and wonderful combination.
Even if you can't bring your own ingredients, you can still enjoy something special because the store stocks a variety of rare ingredients such as red bean paste, cream, green tea, cheese, spicy kimchi curry, kimchi cheese, and okonomiyaki.
* Some ingredients may run out or change depending on local circumstances.
Asakusa’s unique Japanese space
The inside of the store is a purely Japanese space unique to Asakusa. A very big point is that you can experience not only the cooking class but also the space itself. Here, hot tea is provided as standard, so you can have a leisurely and relaxing time.
If you are wearing a rented kimono or yukata, why not take a photo in this space? I recommend it because the costumes and the atmosphere of the space go well together and you can get the photos of your life.
