How to Get There

The Singapore Zoo is located in the northern part of the island, a bit away from the city center, so it’s good to plan your journey in advance. Here’s how to reach the zoo easily and affordably:
1. Take the Shuttle Bus
The most convenient option is to ride the River Wonders Shuttle Bus from Khatib MRT Station (Red Line, Exit A). Many visitors heading to the Singapore Zoo or River Wonders use this route. The shuttle bus operates from 8:00 AM to 7:20 PM, runs every 20 minutes, costs 1 SGD, and takes about 15 minutes to reach the zoo.
2. By Public Transportation
Alternatively, take Bus 138 from Ang Mo Kio Station or Bus 927 from Choa Chu Kang Station directly to the zoo.
Ride the Tram – A Must!

The Singapore Zoo is massive, and even a quick visit takes at least 2 to 3 hours. With so many exhibits and experiences to enjoy, riding the tram is the best way to explore. You can hop on and off at various stops to visit your favorite zones and animals at your own pace.
Your WAUG admission ticket includes unlimited tram rides, so feel free to start your adventure right from the tram station at the entrance.
Rent What You Need at the Entrance

The Singapore Zoo is perfect for families, offering convenient rental options such as strollers and wagons (for up to two children), as well as scooters and wheelchairs for added comfort during your visit.
You can rent them easily at the rental counter to the right of the zoo entrance.
Plan Your Visit with the Zoo Map

Since the Singapore Zoo is quite large, it’s helpful to check the zoo map in advance and plan your route. The editor recommends starting your visit at Tram Stop 1 near the entrance, traveling counterclockwise around the park, and grabbing a cold drink or coffee at Ah Meng Restaurant at Tram Stop 1 before you begin your journey.
Introducing must-see animals

Don’t miss the zoo’s most famous stars — the Lion King and the white tiger. You’ll also encounter white rhinoceroses, giraffes, and marine animals across different zones. For an extra-special experience, try the giraffe feeding activity (additional fee applies).
Catch the Animal Shows

The Singapore Zoo features three exciting shows held twice daily: Splash Safari (seal show – the most popular!), Animal Friends, and Rainforest Fights Back. These interactive shows are a must-see, especially the energetic Splash Safari, where the seals show off their playful skills.
