Tips for visiting The Louvre

When is the best time to visit the museum? Based on data, a visit on a Friday evening is best since 8:00 PM is when it is least crowded (Note that the museum closes at 9:30 PM on Fridays). If you're unable to pay a visit on this day, we recommend coming in on a Wednesday as it gets less crowded during midweek.

Take in the Louvre's charm from Cafe Marly

Aside from the museum, one of the places you have to check out is Cafe Marly! It's located across the Pyramid and is known as the best spot for enjoying coffee. Take in the pleasant atmosphere as you sip your hot cuppa. The cafe usually closes late until 2:00 AM, so you can unwind here after your visit.

  • Entry is possible up to 30 minutes from your selected timeslot.
  • If the selected time is no longer unavailable, the system may automatically adjust your timeslot. Do check your voucher for the confirmed time of entry.
  • This timed ticket provides fast-track admission through the Pyramid entrance (guaranteed access within 30 minutes).
  • There will be a security check upon entrance. This is required for all visitors.
  • Items that are larger than 55cm x 35cm x 20cm in size are not allowed inside the museum.
  • Refund or changes to reservations is not allowed if you miss your selected timeslot.
  • Please note that the reservation is not final until you have received your e-ticket.
  • Reentry is not allowed. Please refrain from exiting the museum in between your visit.
  • A valid photo ID may be required upon entry. Please make sure to bring one to gain admission. The museum reserves the right to refuse admission if the guest does not have a valid ID.
