Rome Ecological Zoo
Let me introduce you to the Rome Botanical Garden, a must-see attraction in the center of Rome, the Villa Borghese. Established over 100 years ago, it is famous as the oldest zoo in Europe, and you can see various animals up close, including lizards, parrots, capybaras, lions, giraffes, tigers, and hippos. There is also a feeding program for the animals, so it is a great place to visit with children.

Great program to do with kids
In addition to simply viewing the animals, the Rome Ecological Zoo also offers programs where you can feed the animals yourself or receive more detailed explanations from the staff.
On Sundays, there is a program where you can hear explanations about amphibians, reptiles, and small mammals from zoo staff, and a program to feed Sophia, the Asian elephant, at 12pm on Sundays. There are also feeding times for foxes, chimpanzees, and seals on weekends, so make a reservation at the on-site desk at the zoo entrance and participate!
