building
The Berlin Jewish Museum is a valuable place not only for its various exhibitions but also for its unique interior and exterior design.
Designed by Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind, the museum was designed with an atypical silver exterior and interior space inspired by the shape of a 'broken star' (Star of David), in contrast to the surrounding Baroque architecture. It has a deep meaning, with pillars of different heights installed to give a feeling of Jewish sacrifice, sadness, and confusion.
