Hendrik Willem Mesdak
Hendrik Willem Mesdag, a painter from Groningen, Netherlands, is known to have moved to The Hague to study art and work there. Mesdag painted many pictures with maritime landscapes as the subject, and the sea, waves, and ships appear in many of his works. If you visit The Hague, I highly recommend seeing his masterpiece, the Panorama!
