The best hot spring town,
The most convenient pass!
The hot spring town of Kinosaki in Hyogo Prefecture is surrounded by mountains and the sea, making it a beautiful town all year round. It is popular with hot spring travelers because you can walk around the town wearing a yukata and it is well-equipped with accommodation facilities. Kinosaki Onsen is a hot spring town that can be explored on foot. It has seven sotoyu (open-air baths) and is very well maintained so that many people can take a walk.
For those visiting Kinosaki Onsen, I would like to introduce the Kinosaki MUST-VISITS 3-day pass that allows you to visit key locations in town. If you have a 3-day pass, admission and experience fees to various facilities are free. There are a variety of benefits, including a round-trip fee for the Kinosaki Ropeway, a 30-minute experience fee for making straw work, a traditional craft in Kinosaki Onsen (an original experience limited to the pass), an onsenji admission fee, and museum admission fees. Purchase a pass in advance, enjoy the benefits, and travel to the fullest!
'Kinosaki MUST-VISITS PASS,
'He's so all-rounder?'
The Kinosaki MUST-VISITS PASS is a pass that allows you to visit major attractions in Kinosaki Onsen Village. Admission and experience fees to various facilities in Kinosaki Hot Springs Village are included, and discounts are applied to as many as 10 restaurants and souvenir shops in the hot spring village. There are even experiences that you can only participate in if you have a pass, so there's no reason not to purchase one, right?
If you visit Kinosaki Onsen Village, this pass is definitely recommended. Those who purchase the pass will receive one Kinosaki Onsen postcard (5 types in total) on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't miss out and pick up a souvenir at the ticket booth!
Kinosaki Ropeway
There is a facility that you must see when you visit Kinosaki. The Kinosaki Ropeway is free to use if you purchase a pass. The ropeway travels from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. If you get off at the middle station, you can visit Onsenji Temple and Onsenji Museum.
In addition to serving as a means of transportation, the ropeway can also serve as an observation deck where you can enjoy the panoramic view of Kinosaki Onsen and the Sea of Japan while riding. Enjoy your leisure time while taking the ropeway and admiring the outside scenery.
Miharashi Terrace Cafe
If you purchase a pass, you can get discounts at various stores. The great view in the photo is from Miharashi Terrace Cafe, one of the stores offering discounts. You can visit this place by taking the ropeway to the top.
Enjoy colorful traditional dango with your favorite beverage on the outdoor deck overlooking Kinosaki town!
Homemade straw crafts
I will introduce you to the special privilege of Pass, the Kamiya Folk Craft Shop straw craft making experience. Kamiya Folk Crafts is the only store in Japan that makes and sells straw crafts. You can find a variety of handmade items made from straw dyed in pretty colors.
Make your own crafts with a teacher who has excellent straw craft skills. Experience the charm of straw craft through the making process and create your own souvenir containing memories of your trip!
A common sight in Kinosaki, a walk in yukata
After 4pm in Kinosaki Onsen, you can often see people wearing yukatas walking around. If you want to truly enjoy the town's unique atmosphere, I highly recommend wearing a yukata and taking a walk. It's great for taking pictures, combined with the town's unique, laid-back atmosphere, and it allows you to immerse yourself in Kinosaki.
You can visit all the shops, restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions here while wearing a yukata. Although it is not included in the pass, there is a yukata rental shop inside the village, so I recommend you visit it. Wear a yukata, shop for classic hot spring souvenirs, or have a unique experience at a retro playground and shooting range!
