TeamLab’s work can now be seen all over the world, including in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, but the place that receives the most attention is Tokyo, where their activities began. Come see teamLab’s work and hear their stories in this international city!

New works released in January 2025

On January 22, 2025, teamLab Planets Tokyo will be transformed with a slew of new artworks! The area has been expanded by approximately 1.5 times, and with over 10 new artworks, there will be plenty to see and experience, so if you’re planning a trip to Tokyo, why not visit teamLab Planets Tokyo?

Introducing the highlight area

- Forest of Movement : The ball that was spinning at high speed stops the moment you approach, and bounces the moment you step on it. Above all, if you step on balls of the same color consecutively, the energy that bursts out from inside the ball spreads throughout the space, and if you keep stepping on balls of the same color, a mysterious caterpillar is born. And if you jump over balls of the same color and connect them until the end, you can see an amazing scene where all the balls in the space explode at once and numerous caterpillars are born. This fantastic experience, as if you were playing in a fairy tale, must experience it for yourself!

- Learn! Future Amusement Park : Draw a picture of an airplane, a dolphin, a hawk, or a butterfly on paper. Your drawing will transform into 3D and fly up, and when you touch the drawing, you can see it move faster or run away! In addition, you can have a special experience of controlling the drawings yourself using your smartphone.

- Colorful aerial climbing :   Cross the 3D space using ropes and poles floating in the air! Since this is an activity you do with other people, you'll have to think a lot about which route to take!

A truly immersive experience that goes barefoot

The special thing about the Toyosu TeamLab Planets exhibition is that I am included in the work. I can feel the light's trajectory changing and dispersing depending on my movements.

Since this is a body-immersive exhibition, you must take off your shoes, socks, and stockings, and you cannot wear short skirts because there is a mirrored space on the floor. You can rent shorts on site, but for pretty pictures, it is better to come dressed up and keep this in mind! Separate lockers are also provided, so don't worry about storing your belongings and enjoy yourself to the fullest.

About TeamLab Planets, Zones

TeamLab Planets Tokyo Toyosu is divided into Zone 1 and Zone 2. Zone 1 has more to see, so I recommend seeing Zone 1 first and then moving on to Zone 2.

Introduction of main exhibitions:

It's a really pretty place with sparkling crystals that change color depending on the light. It's a great spot for taking pictures because it's surrounded by mirrors on all sides.

This is an exhibition where you can see carp swimming along the path of a person walking on water. When the carp collide with a person, they turn into flowers and scatter. Experience the flowers changing with the seasons.

This is teamLab's first NFT artwork that anyone can download and own.

There are many other exhibits to see, and it usually takes about 2 hours to see all of TeamLab Planets. So I recommend setting aside some time to visit.

The highlight of the teamLab exhibition is the 'Garden Area'

The highlight of this TeamLab Planet is the garden area. It is called the Sky Flower Garden, and all the advertising backgrounds are in the garden area.

What's really amazing is that all these flowers are real, and they move up and down from the ceiling. You can't touch the flowers, but it's a really special experience to see so many flowers.

Tips for purchasing tickets

Tickets to Tokyo Toyosu teamLab Planets are sold as time-based tickets. This is because if too many people gather at one time, it can disrupt the immersion.

Currently, Team Ram Planet admission tickets are selling out really fast by time slot, so if you can't get a ticket at the time you want, try changing the time again!
