BESTIt's a pity that we couldn't see the night view due to scheduling issues, but despite the slightly cloudy weather, you can see a really nice view.

Introducing the Mojiko Retro Observatory located on the 31st floor of ‘Retro Hi-Mart’, a high-rise apartment complex designed by Japan’s leading architect Kisho Kurokawa. It is a view point where you can see the Kanmon Strait and Moji Port Retro from a height of 103m, but the view here is a little different from other places. This is because you can see the ocean view along with the retro district, a thriving trading port in the 19th century filled with buildings from the Meiji and Taisho eras.

Mojiko Retro Observation Deck is located on the 31st floor of ‘Retro Hi-Mart’, a high-rise apartment complex designed by Japan’s leading architect Kisho Kurokawa. It is a superb view point where you can see the Kanmon Strait and Moji Port Retro from a height of 103m. It is a popular date course for Japanese couples because of its beautiful night view. There is a cafe inside the hotel where you can relax with a cup of tea, so take a break and enjoy the great view at the Mojiko Retro Observation Deck.

Located on the 31st floor of Mojiko Retro Tower, you can see the ocean view and the cityscape of the retro district at the same time. So, I definitely recommend you visit at least once because it has a really special scenery.
The view at night is a different color.
The night view from the Mojiko Retro Tower observatory is also pretty. It's especially special because you can see the port along with the city view. Since Mojiko Retro Observatory is located in the northernmost part of Kyushu, it is also the place where you can best see the night view of Kitakyushu.
Additionally, the Mojiko Retro Tower Observatory is quieter at night, so unless you like ocean views, I recommend visiting at night.
