BESTWith Joy Tour guide Jin (Genie), I took a lot of pictures without regrets. I had fun riding the Puffing Billy steam train for an hour. Every time the villagers passed by, they all waved, so even adults could enjoy it like children. At Maru Koala Park (zoo), the koalas were sleeping, but instead, I fed the kangaroos, took a lot of pictures, and had time to interact with them. At Phillip Island, I saw a lot of penguins on my way home from work. It was so nice to see penguins living in nature, not in a zoo. Since the penguins don't come out until dark, it can be cold while waiting until night. Even in late August when I visited, I recommend wearing a thin padding or at least a windbreaker. As I kept watching dozens of penguins coming in groups, I forgot about the cold and time passed like a dream. Lastly, I saw a wild wallaby on the way to Phillip Island, and unlike other tours, Joy Tour visited a winery in the middle. It was about a 30-minute stop, and I recommend it if you buy one wine. Wine tasting is free when you buy wine. The tasting cost was $15 and was optional, but they didn't force me to do it at all and said I could just look around. When I visited in August, it was winter so the grapes weren't ripe, but I think it would be really nice to go during the Australian summer when the vineyards are open.
