Changdeokgung Palace was used as a resort for the Joseon royal family. Unlike the grandeur of Gyeongbokgung Palace, the palace is small in scale and has a quiet atmosphere, showing a delicate feminine beauty. Unlike other palaces, Changdeokgung Palace, built at the foot of Bukhansan Mountain, has an unusually large number of trees and is famous for its aesthetic design that harmonizes with nature, so take a leisurely stroll to see it.
A friendly old alley
Bukchon Hanok Village
Bukchon Hanok Village is a hanok preservation district located at the foot of Bukaksan Mountain between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace. It is also called Bukchon, meaning the neighborhood above Cheonggyecheon and Jongno. Bukchon is the site of houses where royalty and noblemen gathered, and the Hanoks are all tile-roofed houses from the Joseon Dynasty, so feel the atmosphere of the alleys of the Joseon Dynasty for yourself.
