Akechidaira Observatory is one of Nikko’s most famous and beautiful spots. Take the Akechidaira Ropeway for a three-minute ride to the top and enjoy breathtaking views.
One of its charms is that, because it is surrounded by Mt. Akechida, you can enjoy different views in each of the four seasons. In the fall, you can enjoy the autumn foliage, and in the winter, you can enjoy the snowy scenery outside the ropeway window.

Lake Chuzenji
: Take in the panoramic view of Lake Chuzenji, a volcanic lake and natural lake located in Nikko National Park. After enjoying the view from the observatory, you can choose to take a walk along the lakeside or take a cruise on Lake Chuzenji to create some fun memories.
Kegon Falls
: Kegon Falls, one of Japan's three largest waterfalls, is a waterfall formed by the waters of Lake Chuzenji slashing down from the 97m high Chuzenji Falls. Enjoy the majestic Kegon Falls from the Akechidaira Observatory!
