Carmine Cuisine & Cafe Story

"Kamin (ขมิ้น)" means "turmeric" in Thai. As the name suggests, this restaurant focuses on authentic Southern Thai flavors, focusing on turmeric, a symbol of health and the heart of Southern Thai cuisine.

The story of 'Kamin Cuisine' began with the passion to "present the taste of my hometown in Bangkok." The owner, who is from Southern Thailand, was disappointed that many Southern restaurants in Bangkok had been modified to suit the palates of the metropolitan area. So he decided to open a restaurant that would directly import fresh ingredients from his hometown every day, especially the highest quality turmeric and herbs, and compete with the natural flavors of the ingredients with little seasoning. He wanted to introduce healthy and honest Southern home cooking that faithfully recreates "the taste of mother's cooking" (รสมือแม่) to the people of Bangkok.

This philosophy is reflected in the restaurant's atmosphere. Located in the heart of the city, Carmine Cuisine is designed like a secret garden. The lush greenery and flower-filled garden, along with the sun-drenched glass conservatory, offer a subtle contrast to the intense, spicy flavors of Southern cuisine, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere unique to this location.
