Kamin Cuisine & Cafe Story

'Kamin (ขมิ้น)' means 'Turmeric' in Thai. As the name suggests, this restaurant showcases the authentic flavors of the South, centering around turmeric, a symbol of health and the heart of Southern Thai cuisine.

The story of 'Kamin Cuisine' began with the passion to 'showcase the real taste of home even in Bangkok.' The owner, who is from southern Thailand, was saddened that many southern restaurants in Bangkok had been modified to suit the tastes of people in the metropolitan area. So, he decided to open a restaurant that brings fresh ingredients, especially the finest turmeric and herbs, directly from his hometown every day, and competes with the original taste of the ingredients without using almost any seasonings. He wanted to introduce healthy and honest southern home-style meals that reproduced 'mother's cooking (รสมือแม่)' to the people of Bangkok.

This philosophy is reflected in the atmosphere of the restaurant. Located in the heart of the city, 'Kamin Cuisine' is decorated like a secret garden. The garden full of green trees and flowers, and the sun-drenched glass greenhouse, create a unique and comfortable atmosphere that can only be felt here, with a subtle contrast to the intense and spicy southern food.
