This special night festival, set on the streets of the Edo period, will only be held from November 8th to 9th, 2025. From samurai and warriors strolling the streets to magnificent period drama shows and elegant flower arrangements, this is the perfect moment to experience Kyoto's traditions and art with all five senses.

Traditional Noh play "Golden Yaksha"
Enjoy the classical Japanese performing art of Noh. On Saturday, November 8th, Noh performer Zentake Tadasuke of the Okuraryu Kyogen school will present "Abu-ga-zuke." Kyogen often features alcohol-themed plays, and "Abu-ga-zuke" is a representative example. Enjoy traditional Japanese comedy, perfect for an Edo-style bar. On Sunday, November 9th, Noh performer and shite kata Kanseiryu Ueda Yoshiki will perform "Tsuchigumo" at Shikugawa Kawaratera-en. "Tsuchigumo" features a shite throwing spider webs made of washi paper, creating a visually striking piece with strong showy elements.
