This tour is a day-long Ishigaki Manta Ray Boat Snorkeling Tour, available only during the winter season. This tour is led by a Korean-speaking guide, so even those unfamiliar with Japanese can participate without worry. Everything from equipment usage and entry into the water to safety precautions are explained in Korean, so even first-time snorkelers can enjoy the experience with confidence.
This tour takes place in the waters of Ishigaki, one of the world's top three manta spotting spots. This exhilarating experience will bring you face-to-face with giant manta rays gliding gracefully through the crystal-clear, emerald waters. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the majestic manta rays gliding overhead, slowly circling close to the surface. During the tour, underwater cameras and drones will be used to capture photos and videos, and you'll receive the original data as a gift. The drone shots, with the Ishigaki Blue in the background, and your joyful, underwater laughter will be a vivid memory you'll cherish for years to come.
The snorkeling equipment we use is high-quality GULL brand gear, disinfected and maintained daily after each tour, ensuring complete hygiene and peace of mind. We meticulously maintain the condition of each piece of equipment, including masks, snorkels, and fins, to ensure a comfortable fit for even first-time snorkelers. Our dedicated boats are equipped with windbreaks to minimize the cold winter winds and ensure a comfortable tour experience even during long transfers and waits.
What is Manta Scramble?

The Manta Scramble, which you'll visit on this tour, is known as a manta cleaning station, where manta rays stay with small cleaner fish to remove parasites and impurities from their skin. Because manta rays stay in the same area for a set period of time, slowly circling or swimming close to the surface, it's a famous spot for observing manta rays in a relatively stable environment. At this spot, you can witness the manta rays gracefully circling, repeatedly rising and falling towards the surface. Their silhouettes, as if flying, overlap with the emerald sea, making for a memorable experience, not only in photos and videos, but also in person. If you're lucky, you might even encounter several manta rays swimming in a simultaneous cycle, a literal manta paradise.

⚠ Manta Point Viewing Guide
Within Manta Point, we move around and search for mantas.
As soon as the manta rays are spotted, we immediately get into the water and start snorkeling.
Snorkeling availability and viewing times may vary depending on the manta conditions, currents and waves, and surrounding boat conditions on the day.
※The schedule is subject to change depending on the Manta Point waiting time and ocean conditions.
※Manta rays are wild animals, so encounters are not 100% guaranteed. While snorkeling, you must follow your guide's instructions, and sudden dives or rapid movements are prohibited.
Diving is prohibited at Manta Point and viewing is only permitted from above the water.
If you startle a manta ray, it may not reappear at that point. The number of boats allowed into Manta Point is limited, so viewing may be sequential and may result in long wait times.
To protect Ishigaki Island's nature and manta rays, we require the cooperation of all participants.
