Over 250,000 artifacts
The National World War II Museum’s vaults hold nearly 250,000 artifacts. While many items from the collection are on display, most are either in safekeeping or being restored for research and future exhibitions.
The museum also houses a large collection of war memoirs, as well as over 9,000 personal collections from veterans of all walks of life.

Louisiana Memorial
A state-of-the-art permanent exhibition telling the story of the war on the home front. The building also houses the museum’s original D-Day exhibits, large-scale artifacts, and special temporary exhibits, making it the perfect place to begin your journey into the story of World War II.
Campaign of Courage - European and Pacific Theaters
Follow the footsteps of the citizen army with a 360-degree display exhibition that guides you through the main background of World War II. There are exhibits such as The Road to Tokyo and The Road to Berlin, and they provide a soldier’s perspective on the war.
American Freedom Hall - Boeing Center
Get up close and personal with massive ground tanks, trucks, World War II planes and more. These exhibits tell the story of the war machines, their production and their honorable service.
Liberation Hall
End your tour of the National World War II Museum with a two-story exhibition space exploring the end of World War II, the Holocaust, the postwar period, and how the war impacts our lives today.
Other facilities include the Solomon Victory Theatre, the American Sector Restaurant & Bar, and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
