From 'My Neighbor Totoro' to 'Howl's Moving Castle' and 'Kiki's Delivery Service'.

Ghibli Park, where you can experience the world of Ghibli films firsthand, is a must-visit destination for any trip to Nagoya. It's surprisingly accessible, located just about an hour away from the city center.

The Easiest Way: Subway + Linimo

This is the most recommended route from Nagoya to Ghibli Park.

*Nagoya Station → Fujigaoka Station → Expo Memorial Park Station (Linimo)

Take the Higashiyama subway line from Nagoya Station to Fujigaoka Station, then transfer to the Linimo monorail. Get off at Expo Memorial Park Station, and you'll arrive at Morikoro Park, where Ghibli Park is located. With only one transfer, it's straightforward even for first-time visitors to Nagoya.

Prefer No Transfers? Take the Bus

For a more direct journey, consider the bus departing from the Meitetsu Bus Center at Nagoya Station. It takes you straight to Expo Memorial Park, which is convenient if you want to avoid transfers. If you prefer the freedom of navigating yourself, the subway and Linimo combo is great. For a more relaxed, seated journey, the bus is a good option.

Book Your Tickets First

More important than transportation is securing your Ghibli Park tickets. Different tickets grant access to various areas, and some, like the Ghibli Grand Warehouse, require entry at specific times. It's best to book your tickets for your desired date first, then plan your departure from Nagoya to arrive according to your entry time.

Dedicate a Full Day to Ghibli

Ghibli Park features distinct areas like the Ghibli Grand Warehouse, Hill of Youth, Dondoko Forest, Mononoke Village, and Valley of Witches, spread across a vast park. It's not a typical theme park with rides. The joy comes from exploring the wooded paths, discovering buildings from the movies, and spotting hidden Ghibli details. For this reason, it's recommended not to overschedule your day when visiting Ghibli Park.

Take an hour's journey from Nagoya and immerse yourself in the world of Ghibli for a day. A special day awaits, walking through scenes you've only seen in films.
