Every year, Universal Studios Japan welcomes countless travelers, and for New Year's Eve, it transforms into a space for a special celebration. You'll find a different atmosphere than usual, blending familiar attractions, dazzling entertainment, and the excitement of welcoming the new year.

This event is recommended for travelers looking to spend an unforgettable year-end in Osaka or those who want to commemorate the first moments of 2027 with friends or a partner.

Welcome the New Year with Approximately 5,000 Fireworks

The undisputed highlight of this countdown is the spectacular fireworks display that signals the arrival of the new year.

During the 'Countdown Moment,' which runs from 11:50 PM on December 31st to 12:05 AM on January 1st, approximately 5,000 fireworks are set to illuminate the park's night sky.

Fireworks, music, and lighting effects across various areas of the park, including the Lagoon and Gramercy Park, will come together to complete the festive atmosphere. The moment of shouting out the countdown with countless people to welcome 2027 is the most anticipated experience of this event.

A Festival Lasting 26 Hours, Just for One Day

NO LIMIT! Countdown 2027 isn't just about fireworks. What's special is that you can enjoy the park for up to 26 hours, from 7:00 PM on December 31st, 2026, to 9:00 PM on January 1st, 2027.

This year, in particular, a special stage is prepared to celebrate Universal Studios Japan's 25th anniversary. Featuring a DJ show with music from world-renowned DJ Zedd and popular seasonal entertainment, the stage is set to further ignite the excitement of New Year's Eve.

You can spend the night enjoying popular attractions, shows, and shopping, and then continue the special time on New Year's Day. Please note that some facilities may have limited access due to maintenance.

Enter Countdown 2027 with a Special Party Pass

To participate in this event, you'll need the dedicated NO LIMIT! Countdown 2027 Party Pass, not the regular Studio Pass.

The Party Pass allows entry from 7:00 PM on December 31st until 9:00 PM the following day, with re-entry also possible during this period. If you wish to enjoy the special New Year's Eve performances and fireworks, it's advisable to prepare your tickets in advance.
