Guide Sam was great very helpful. The day was so good the dinosaur museum was beyond expectations loved it! And all the stop offs were great too. Very good day out not to be missed and so worth it. Only gripe the transport on this occasion was too small. Hubby and friend both in back of van sandwiched like sardines.

I liked the hoodoos and the Museum, which is very interesting and makes you reflect on humans' pretensions to dominate the world. 99% of species are extinct, we would go extinct too, but the Earth will go on with other life forms.

The Royal Tyrell Dinosaur Museum is amazing. So are the Hoodoos. On the other hand, the world’s largest dinosaur and the world’s smallest church are a bit tacky, but still fun. Raj was a really great guide. It’s also a good idea to have the option of touring the museum for an hour and a half or two and a half hours.

into Alberta's Badlands

Depart in the morning from a designated pickup location in Calgary and enjoy a scenic drive to the badlands. As the cityscape gives way to canyons and hoodoos, your guide explains the history and geology of Drumheller. Guiding is available in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, and you will stop briefly for photos at the Drumheller welcome sign.

Enter the Royal Tyrrell Museum with priority access

Your first stop is the Royal Tyrrell Museum, where you enter with priority access through a separate entrance. Spend about 2.5 hours exploring dinosaur fossils, interactive displays, and prehistoric exhibits at your own pace.

Explore Horseshoe Canyon and the hoodoos

Next, walk through Horseshoe Canyon, known for its steep, colorful rock formations shaped over millions of years, as your guide explains how glaciers, wind, and water carved the land. Then continue to the Hoodoos Trail, where uniquely shaped sandstone pillars stand.

Visit the Rosedale Suspension Bridge and Drumheller town

Cross the Red Deer River on the historic Rosedale Suspension Bridge (Star Mine Suspension Bridge) and enjoy views on both sides, learning about Alberta's mining era on an outdoor guided tour. You will also stop at Drumheller's Little Church and the Last Chance Saloon.

Finally, see the 26-meter World's Largest Dinosaur in the town of Drumheller and browse local shops before returning to Calgary. Climbing the dinosaur model is optional and not included in the price.
