Muscat Traditional Dhow Sunset Cruise - Departing from Marina Bandar Al Rowdha

Set off on a sunset cruise aboard
a traditional dhow from Marina Bandar Al Rowdha

Board a traditional wooden dhow and sail the calm waters of the Gulf of Oman for about 2 hours. See palaces, forts and fishing villages along the Muscat coastline from the sea, enjoy the cruise at sunset, then return to the same marina. Departure times may vary with seasonal sunset times.

See Muscat's landmarks from the sea

Pass Al Bustan Palace, the small fishing villages of Al Haramel and Sidab, historic Old Muscat with Al Alam Palace, Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, and Riyam Park. Continue past Sultan Qaboos Port toward bustling Muttrah Corniche before heading back to the marina, with photo stops along the way.

Watch the sun set over the Gulf of Oman

Enjoy about 15 minutes of sunset viewing off Mutrah View Point. Sip Omani coffee, taste dates and water while experiencing traditional Omani dhow culture. On the way back, the Muscat coastline glitters under the twilight sky.

Travel easily with the hotel pickup option
