Views of Fansipan and the Muong Hoa Valley from Ham Rong

Day 1 starts with a 2 km uphill walk to Ham Rong Mountain at about 2,000 m, with panoramic views of the range including Fansipan (3,143 m), the Muong Hoa Valley rice terraces, the river and valleys. The tour does not climb Fansipan itself.
You then hike down to Hang Da, a Black Hmong village, for lunch at a small restaurant near a local family. In the afternoon a small trail leads to Hau Thao village, where you can see daily farm life such as rice planting or harvesting, depending on the season.
Overnight with a Hmong family in Giang Ta Chai

Around 5:00 PM you reach the homestay in Giang Ta Chai Mong, where your Black Hmong host family welcomes you. At 7:00 PM enjoy a traditional dinner with the family, chat with your hosts or simply relax in the peaceful village.

On day 2, have breakfast at the homestay as clouds drift across the valley. Set off at 9:30 AM for Giang Ta Chai Dao, a Red Dao community, to see rice terraces, traditional wooden houses and a quiet lake.
Then walk through a bamboo forest to Ta Van village for a break, and on to Lao Chai, known for its rice terraces, for lunch. Around 2:00 PM a car takes you back to Sapa from Lao Chai.
