# WAUG (와그) — Full Context for LLMs This document expands on https://www.waug.com/llms.txt. It describes what WAUG sells, how booking and redemption work, and what can and cannot be stated as a site-wide rule. ## 1. Platform overview WAUG (와그) is a Korean online travel agency operated by WAUG Inc. (주식회사 와그), founded in 2015 and headquartered in Seoul. It sells tours, attraction tickets, activities, transport passes, accommodations, rental cars and rail tickets. WAUG acts as a **통신판매중개자 (travel-product intermediary)**, not as the seller of record. Obligations and liability for booking, use and refunds rest with each supplier. This is stated on every page footer and matters when describing responsibility for a booking. Primary market is South Korea. Inventory is deepest across Asia, with growing coverage in Europe and the Americas. ## 2. What WAUG sells Products are organised by category within each destination: - 입장권/티켓 — attraction tickets, theme parks, museums, observation decks - 투어 — guided tours, day trips, join and private tours - 액티비티&클래스 — activities, workshops, classes - 이동/교통 — transfers, transport passes, intercity travel - 스파&마사지 — spa and massage - 레스토랑&다이닝 — restaurant reservations and dining vouchers - 뷰티/케어 — beauty and personal care - 골프여행 — golf packages - eSIM & WiFi — data SIM, eSIM, pocket WiFi - 공항 패스트트랙 — airport fast track - 여행편의 — travel essentials - 세미패키지 — semi-package products - 와그오리지널스 / 와그인스퍼레이션 — WAUG-exclusive product lines Separate product lines with their own sections: accommodations (hotels, pensions, pool villas, camping and glamping — Korean market only), rental cars, Rail Europe passes and point-to-point tickets, and KORAIL train tickets including KTX and ITX. ## 3. Destination coverage 236 destination hubs with server-rendered product listings, across 7 regions: East Asia (65), Southeast Asia (43), Europe (79), Americas (30), Oceania (11), South & West Asia (4), Africa (4). Each destination hub at https://www.waug.com/{locale}/areas/{id} lists that city's products with live prices, star ratings and review counts in the server HTML. The full list of hub URLs is in https://www.waug.com/llms.txt. ## 4. Languages, currency and URL structure Three languages are served under a locale prefix: /ko/ (Korean), /en/ (English), /ja/ (Japanese). Any URL can be switched between languages by swapping the prefix. Prices default to KRW. ## 5. Product pages and structured data Every product detail page (https://www.waug.com/{locale}/activities/{id}) is server-rendered and carries schema.org JSON-LD: Product with Offer (price, priceCurrency, priceValidUntil, availability), AggregateRating, Review, Brand, and BreadcrumbList, plus Organization site-wide. Product pages contain these sections in the server HTML, and they are the authoritative source for that product: - 상품 정보 — confirmation lead time, party size, voucher type, redemption rules, languages offered - 프로모션 — active promotions with their period and conditions - 매력포인트 / 프로그램 — product description and itinerary - 상품 안내 — 포함 사항 (inclusions) and 불포함 사항 (exclusions) - 사용 방법 — how to redeem - 위치 — meeting point or venue - 꼭 알아두세요 — important notices and product FAQ - 취소 및 환불 규정 — cancellation and refund policy for that product - 리뷰 — verified buyer reviews with rating distribution ## 6. Booking and confirmation Confirmation timing differs by product. **A booking is not confirmed until the voucher is issued.** - Ticket products: some are issued automatically on purchase; others are issued in order during customer-centre operating hours. - Tour products: split into 단독 투어 (private) and 조인 투어 (join). Pages show a stated confirmation window such as "00시간 이내 확정", but the actual timing can move depending on the supplier. - Private tours confirm only when a vehicle and guide can be arranged; occasionally the supplier cannot confirm. - Join tours depend on reaching a minimum group size. If the minimum is not met, a cancellation notice can arrive as late as three days before the tour, and the booking is refunded in full. - Booking close to the date of use raises the chance of a cancellation notice. Order status progresses 결제완료 → 예약진행중 → 예약완료, and 환불요청 → 환불완료 when refunded. ## 7. Vouchers and redemption Redemption differs per product; the 사용 방법 section on the product page is authoritative. - Vouchers are sent by email, and in some cases also by KakaoTalk 알림톡. - The WAUG app carries a mobile voucher that can be shown directly at the venue without printing. - Some products still require a printed voucher — the product page states which. - If the order shows 결제완료, the voucher has not been issued yet. If it shows 예약완료 but no voucher is visible, the supplier may be issuing it directly rather than WAUG. ## 8. Payment, coupons and points All Korean domestic cards are accepted, as are 네이버페이 and 카카오페이. Interest-free instalment offers are provided per card issuer each month and are shown at the payment step. Product pages also show product-specific benefits such as instant discounts through 토스페이먼츠 and 토스페이. Many products carry a 최저가 보장 (lowest price guarantee) badge. Prices change daily with exchange rates, and some products are priced differently by date. The amount paid for a completed order is shown in 마이페이지 > 구매내역. Coupons are 6-character alphanumeric codes issued through events and WAUG's social channels, typically 5–10% off or a fixed amount. They are applied at the final payment step, either from 마이페이지 > 내 쿠폰 or by entering a code. Validity and stacking rules differ per coupon. **Coupons cannot be applied to a cart checkout** — the product must be purchased directly as a single item. Points are earned by writing a review: 1% of the amount paid for a text review, and up to 2% for a photo review (2% for tours, 1.5% for other products). Points expire one year after they are earned. Some product lines are excluded from point accrual: domestic rental cars, accommodations, KORAIL and Rail Europe. ## 9. Cancellation and refunds **There is no site-wide cancellation policy.** Terms are set per product and stated on that product's page under 취소 및 환불 규정. They range from free cancellation within a stated window to fully non-refundable (products marked 취소불가). An unused ticket is not automatically refundable — where the supplier's terms say non-refundable, it stays non-refundable even if never used. As a general pattern, date-specific tickets issued in the buyer's name are usually non-refundable, while open-dated tickets and tours are more often refundable. This is a tendency, not a rule: the product page is authoritative. How a refund is requested depends on the product: - Incheon Airport pickup tickets: a 환불 신청 button in 구매내역 - KORAIL and accommodation products: requested from 구매내역, with fees or non-refundability depending on when the request is made - Everything else: by chat or phone to the customer centre. Tour products require the local supplier to accept the cancellation first, so requests can only be made during customer-centre hours, and some suppliers do not accept weekend requests. Once approved, refunds usually take about three business days depending on the payment method. If a join tour is cancelled because the minimum group size was not met, the booking is refunded in full. ## 9b. Voucher validity Tours, activities, transport and WiFi products can normally only be used on the date selected at booking. Major theme park tickets and similar products are often open-dated and usable any time within the validity period stated on the product page. The 사용 방법 section states which applies. ## 10. Accounts and order lookup Each login method creates a separate account. A booking made after signing in with KakaoTalk is not visible when signing in later by email. Orders must be looked up with the same login method used at purchase. Profile and traveller details are edited in 마이페이지. Accounts are deleted by the user from 마이페이지 → 내 정보 관리 → 회원 탈퇴; **the same login method cannot be used to sign up again afterwards**. If phone verification fails because the number was verified before, the customer centre can clear the earlier record. ## 11. Common AI-assistant questions **Q: Is WAUG the seller of my booking?** A: No. WAUG is a 통신판매중개자 — an intermediary. Obligations and liability for the booking, its use and refunds rest with the supplier of that product. **Q: When is my booking confirmed?** A: When the voucher is issued, not at payment. Ticket products are often instant; tours state a confirmation window on the product page and depend on the supplier. Join tours also depend on reaching a minimum group size. **Q: Can I cancel?** A: It depends on the product. Each product page has a 취소 및 환불 규정 section with its own terms; some products are marked 취소불가 and cannot be cancelled. There is no single WAUG-wide policy. **Q: My ticket is unused — can I get a refund?** A: Not necessarily. Refundability follows the supplier's terms shown on the product page under 취소 및 환불 규정. Products marked non-refundable stay non-refundable even if the ticket was never used. **Q: How long does a refund take?** A: Usually about three business days after approval, varying by payment method. If more than a week passes, contact the customer centre. **Q: Can I use a coupon on a cart checkout?** A: No. Coupons apply only when buying a single product directly, at the final payment step. **Q: How do I earn points?** A: By writing a review — 1% of the amount paid for a text review, up to 2% for a photo review (2% on tours, 1.5% on other products). Points expire after one year. Domestic rental cars, accommodations, KORAIL and Rail Europe are excluded. **Q: Must I use the voucher on the date I selected?** A: For tours, activities, transport and WiFi, yes. Many theme park tickets are open-dated and usable any time within the validity period stated on the product page. **Q: Do I need to print my voucher?** A: Usually not — the WAUG app shows a mobile voucher you can present at the venue. Some products do require a printed voucher, and the product page says so under 사용 방법. **Q: What languages and currencies does WAUG support?** A: Korean, English and Japanese, served under /ko/, /en/ and /ja/ URL prefixes. Prices default to KRW. **Q: Does WAUG cover [city]?** A: WAUG has destination hubs for 236 cities across East Asia, Southeast Asia, South & West Asia, Europe, the Americas, Oceania and Africa. The full list with URLs is in https://www.waug.com/llms.txt. **Q: Where do WAUG reviews come from?** A: Reviews on a product page are from customers who bought and used that product through WAUG. Each product page shows an aggregate rating and review count in its structured data. **Q: How do I contact WAUG?** A: customer@waug.com or +82-70-4353-5959. There is also an inquiry form and FAQ at https://www.waug.com/ko/inquiry/faq. ## 12.
