The Petersen Automotive Museum: An Automotive Museum of Overwhelming Scale

The United States has several museums with an automotive theme, and the Petersen Automotive Museum is the most famous. Since opening in 1994, it has held exhibitions with various themes, and it has been hugely popular since its renovation with a spectacular exterior in 2014. You can not only see the exhibited cars, but also have a meal or drink coffee, and see automotive souvenirs. There are also various experiences such as driving experiences.

Reborn in 2015

The Petersen Automotive Museum has been even more popular since it reopened in 2015. A whopping ₩102.6 billion was spent on the renovation alone, completely transforming it. Founded by Robert E. Petersen, the founder of a publishing company that publishes American automotive magazines, it is a meaningful space that shows everything from the history and structure of automobiles to supercars.

From Classic to Supercar

At the Petersen Automotive Museum, you can see everything from the very first automobile prototype to classic cars and today's supercars. It consists of a total of 3 floors, and is exhibited around 3 themes: History, Industry, and Artistry.
