Porto Douro River Six Bridges Cruise (Ribeira or Gaia Departure)

This is the traditional "Six Bridges Cruise" along the Douro River. You'll follow the route of the old wine merchants who carried wine from the valley to the wine cellars. Board a Rabelo boat, a replica of the old wine transport vessels, and sail on the river for about 50 minutes in a charming, old-world atmosphere.

Admire Ribeira and Gaia from the river

On the sparkling Douro River, enjoy views of the red-roofed buildings of Ribeira and Vila Nova de Gaia. The boat passes one by one beneath the historic bridges connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, and you can learn about their architecture and interesting stories.

See Foz do Douro from the last bridge

When you reach the last bridge, you can see the sandy beaches of Foz do Douro, the coastal area where the Douro River flows out into the sea.

Choose your departure pier and board

The Gaia Pier option uses Rota do Douro boats departing every 30 minutes, and the Ribeira Pier option uses Douro Acima or Tomaz do Douro boats departing every hour. As this is an open ticket, you can board any departure within the operating hours on your date of use.
