In fact, the trip itself with the JR Pass ended with Otaru, Sapporo, and Tomakomai. There was nothing I could do because of the unusually heavy snow and hail in Hokkaido. I couldn't see anything related to the Ainu culture in Shiraoi where I was staying, and I had a hard time because I couldn't hold an umbrella with both hands full of luggage and the hail got stuck in my eyes. But why is it the best? Because I made the most of the 'main income' that is important to Koreans.

I used the JR Sapporo Noboribetsu Pass well. It is the best for a 3-night, 4-day trip. I enjoyed the winter in Sapporo. Romantic Otaru, Noboribetsu full of the smell of sulfur, and Sapporo city with lots to see. I had a good trip thanks to the JR Pass.

Noboribetsu, Otaru, and Sapporo are essential for free travel. If the travel schedule is 4 days, it was a 5-day trip with the best value for money, but I am satisfied because I have been to the Ainu Museum. It was a happy time watching traditional dances at the Ainu Museum.

How to Exchange Your Sapporo-Noboribetsu Area Pass
The Sapporo-Noboribetsu Area Pass purchased from WAUG is issued as an exchange order, which must be exchanged for an actual ticket locally. The main exchange locations are the JR Foreign Language Information Desk at Sapporo Station and the JR Foreign Language Information Desk at New Chitose Airport Station. Over 75% of travelers exchange their passes at the New Chitose Airport Station JR Foreign Language Information Desk. Here, staff members who can speak Korean, English, and Chinese (though not always stationed) assist with exchanging various passes, including the Hokkaido Rail Pass.

The Sapporo-Noboribetsu Area Pass allows you to use all JR trains from Sapporo Airport and the city to Noboribetsu, south of Otaru.
