Washington DC City Tour (Departure from New York)

It was a wonderful trip to Washington D.C. Everything was explained exceptionally well and a lot of interesting history was told. We can highly recommend the trip.

Excellent guide

Overall, the trip to Washington was okay. We would have liked more time at some stops, so it was often a quick run-through to keep to the schedule. We would have loved to see more of Arlington Cemetery, especially the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the ceremony of the changing of the guard of the soldiers who guard this grave 24/7 365 days a year. So we only quickly went to JFK's grave and back to the bus. The time at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial was sufficient, and the Vietnam and Korean War memorials located there were similarly overwhelming as the 9/11 Memorial in New York. Especially since several veterans were present at the time of our visit who were commemorating their fallen comrades, it was partly very emotional. A big highlight at the end was the visit to the Air & Space Museum. Here too, time was short. But the sight of the original Apollo 11 capsule was impressive.

It was an amazing tour!
