Yellowknife Aurora Hunting Bus Tour - Hotel Pickup & Souvenir Photos

Board a bus from your hotel and chase the Yellowknife aurora.

After pickup from your Yellowknife city hotel, you'll travel by heated bus into the wilderness, far from the city's glow. This tour actively pursues the aurora, with your local guide seeking out the clearest skies and best viewing conditions, rather than staying in a fixed location. The tour lasts approximately 4 hours, exploring areas along the Ingraham Trail east of Yellowknife.

Gaze at the night sky from frozen lakes and forest clearings.

We'll make stops at scenic spots like frozen lakes, open forest clearings, and territorial parks. At each stop, anticipate the dancing green, purple, and white lights of the aurora in the crisp, cold northern air. Throughout the evening, your guide will share stories about the aurora, northern life, and the surrounding landscape.

Warm up with snacks and drinks inside the cozy bus.

Between viewing sessions, you can warm up inside the heated bus. Light snacks and hot beverages are provided, ensuring a comfortable wait for the aurora even on a chilly Arctic night.

Capture memorable photos under the aurora.

We'll take professional-quality photos of you against the backdrop of the stunning aurora-filled night sky. After the tour, you'll be returned to your Yellowknife city hotel.
