This was the best activity I’ve ever done! We flew in a small plane with just the pilot and three passengers, which made it feel really personal. The flight was delayed a bit due to morning clouds, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Our pilot shared great stories about the landscape throughout the flight. Stunning views, amazing experience – 100% worth the money!

We were lucky to have a completely clear sky and no wind. We were able to see these magnificent landscapes and get very close to the glacier summits. We were close to the coast and saw its meanders. Flying over Lake Wakatipu and its surroundings was magnificent. A relaxing and magical flight.

We were just so lucky to have an absolutely marvelous sunny morning and the flight was awesome. Thomas, our pilot, was able to get close to the glaciers because there was no wind. A wonderful experience!

매력포인트

Take off from Queenstown in a 12-seat Cessna and spend an hour flying over the Southern Alps to see glaciers and Milford Sound from the air. Pass Mt Aspiring and see at least five of the region's major glaciers, including Rob Roy, Bonar, Dart, Volta and Donne. Panoramic windows on the high-wing Cessna give every seat a view, and the pilot provides English commentary throughout. This flight does not land at Milford Sound, making it a great fit for travelers who want to see the Southern Alps in a short time.

프로그램

Fly over the Southern Alps
in a 12-seat Cessna

After pickup from designated accommodation in central Queenstown and a full pre-flight briefing, board a modern 12-seat Cessna. As a high-wing aircraft, its panoramic windows give every seat a clear view, perfect for photos.

See at least five glaciers
from the air

During the one-hour flight, soar over alpine valleys, snow-capped peaks and glacial rivers, passing Mt Aspiring. Look down on at least five of the region's signature glaciers, including Rob Roy, Bonar, Dart, Volta, Olivine and Donne.

Look down on Milford Sound
and the Fiordland wilderness

Your experienced pilot shares stories in English about the glaciers, mountains and untouched wilderness of Fiordland. After viewing Milford Sound from above, you return to Queenstown and are dropped back at your accommodation. The flight is operated by Air Milford, a family-owned airline with more than 50 years of flying experience.

※ Landing at Milford Sound and a cruise are not included.
※ The flight route may vary depending on weather conditions on the day.
