Learn how glass is made
in a real Murano glass factory
After checking in at the gallery, you'll head to the factory with your guide. For about 50 minutes you'll experience the look and atmosphere of a real glass factory while an expert explains, area by area, how sand becomes custom-made glass products. The tour is held in English in a small group of up to 8 people.
Explore the batch room where it all begins
This is where sand and other chemicals are perfectly mixed. When the mixture goes into the 1400°C furnace, it melts into glass.
Watch a glass master at work in the hot shop
Learn about the melting process from chemical mix to molten glass, how the furnace works and the tools used. You can watch a genuine Murano glass master shaping glass right in front of you.
See the glass come to life in the cold shop
See all the machines used to engrave, drill, cut, flatten and polish the glass.
※ The factory is closed on Sundays and no tours run that day.
