Florence: Uffizi & Accademia Small-Group Tour with Licensed Guide - Tickets to Both Museums Included, David & The Birth of Venus

Start at the Uffizi Gallery with timed-entry tickets

Begin the tour at the Uffizi Gallery with a licensed local guide. The building was designed by Giorgio Vasari for Cosimo I de' Medici, and it is a treasury of Renaissance painting built on the collections gathered by the Medici family. Your guide brings the golden age of the Italian Renaissance to life.

From Botticelli to Caravaggio: Masterpieces of the Uffizi

See Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus," which depicts the goddess born from the sea foam, followed by works by Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio, Giotto and Michelangelo. You can follow how painting changed, from golden altarpieces of the Middle Ages to the perspective and human anatomy of the Renaissance, as one continuous story.

Meet "David" at the Accademia Gallery

Walk with your guide to the Accademia Gallery and enter with your timed-entry ticket. See "David," the marble sculpture over 5 m tall that Michelangelo completed between 1501 and 1504.

The Hall of the Prisoners, Gold-Ground Paintings and the Musical Instruments Museum

Explore the Sala dei Prigioni (Hall of the Prisoners), which holds sculptures originally planned for the tomb of Pope Julius II but left unfinished. The Accademia also has a collection of paintings on gold backgrounds and a museum of historic musical instruments.

* Tickets to both museums are included, so there are no extra fees.
* The tour is limited to a small group of up to 15 people.
