You can see about 2,000 goldfish of 55 varieties across eight zones decorated with light and artwork. The space was created by aquarium creator GAKYO MIYAZAWA together with the art group Mirror Ballers and a glass artist, making it a great place for photos. where goldfish meet art

The Okinawa Goldfish Museum is an immersive aquarium that combines goldfish, light, Japanese culture and the atmosphere of Okinawa. About 2,000 goldfish of 55 varieties are on display, centered on the Jumbo Oranda and the Ryukin, and you can watch schools of goldfish swim in a giant tank over 3 m long. There is no timed entry, so just visit during opening hours and explore at your own pace.

Enjoy goldfish scooping in a festival atmosphere

ZONE 1 "MATSURI" recreates a traditional Japanese night festival, where you can try goldfish scooping and feeding (paid separately on site). In ZONE 4 "DEJIKIN", hold out your palm to scoop a digital goldfish and receive an omikuji fortune in this interactive experience.

Walk through dreamlike spaces of light and mirrors

ZONE 2 "MIZUKAGAMI" was created with a glass artist; thanks to light refraction and mirror effects, the glass goldfish artworks look different depending on the angle. ZONE 7 "KINGYO DISCO", the main artwork made with the art group Mirror Ballers, is a dynamic space where light, mirrors and goldfish come together.

Discover photo spots inspired by flowers and traditional Japanese beauty

ZONE 3 "HANAMI" expresses tropical Okinawa with floral art, and ZONE 6 "MIYABI" is a colorful space inspired by a goldfish princess's room. In ZONE 5 "SAMURAI" you can see tank artworks styled by GAKYO MIYAZAWA with wabi-sabi aesthetics, and in ZONE 8 "UWAMI KAIROU" you can view goldfish from above in the traditional Japanese way, beneath goldfish lanterns floating in the air.

The museum is inside Okinawa Outlet Mall Ashibinaa in Toyosaki, Tomigusuku City. Local buses run from Naha Airport, Akamine Station on the monorail, Kokusai-dori and other areas, and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays a free shuttle bus to iias Okinawa Toyosaki also operates. If you come by car, you can use the Ashibinaa parking lot (about 1,000 spaces).
