This set plan lets you enjoy Iriomote Island from afternoon to night with a mangrove SUP/canoe cruise and a night tour. The subtropical biome of World Natural Heritage Iriomote Island has a unique ecosystem at each field, so you can feel its world-recognized biodiversity firsthand.
Cruise the mangrove forest by SUP or canoe
Choose between SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding), a new activity drawing attention worldwide, and canoeing, a classic Okinawa activity, to explore Iriomote's mangrove forest. The guide gives a careful briefing before you start, so first-timers are welcome. SUP is for ages 12 and up, so please choose the canoe if you are with younger children.
Take a break, then explore the jungle at night
After the mangrove tour, return to Uehara Port or your accommodation for a break before setting off on the night tour. Make your way through the jungle with a single flashlight and look for creatures found only on Iriomote Island. Exploring the jungle at night is an experience only for those staying on Iriomote Island.
Gaze at Iriomote's night sky
Along with the jungle exploration, enjoy the night sky of Iriomote Island, known as a dark sky reserve. Safety gear and your guide are with you throughout.
※ The tour takes about 4 hours including transfers and may vary with sea and weather conditions. The meeting time for the night tour varies by season and the guide will tell you on the day.

For hotels in the Uehara area, the guide picks you up at the hotel entrance. Please change into clothes that can get wet beforehand and wait. As the guide picks guests up at each accommodation in turn, meeting times vary slightly by group. Hotels outside the Uehara area (Jungle Hotel Painumaya, Eco Village, La Teada Iriomote, etc.) are outside the pickup area, so please come to Uehara Port by bus or taxi. The tour ends at Uehara Port, and guests using hotel pickup are dropped off at their hotel.
