Our family had an amazing experience with this tour. From the beginning the communication with the tour operator was professional and timely. We were happy to tailor the tour to our family group and were given a choice of vehicles to suit our needs. The driver was on time and very sweet, providing us with water and snacks for the drive. Our guide Son was knowledgeable and shared great insight into the places we visited, being a local he took us to a wonderful restaurant for dinner. Overall, we really enjoyed this experience, whilst the cost is a little higher, it was well worth it for the comfort of having our own driver and guide. The river system is beautiful and the ancient town was spectacular when the pagodas were lit up. I would highly recommend this tour. Our family returned to Hanoi tired but very satisfied with how we spent the day and what we saw in Ninh Binh.

We had an amazing trip with our guide Mike who was very friendly and profesional. For our group of 4 we decided to book a private tour and was totally worth it, because it give us more flexibility and calm, no-rush feeling. Ninh Binh boat ride was peaceful and relaxing. Amazing evening / night city of walk with street food. Totally recommend it!

Depart Hanoi at noon and enjoy both the afternoon and evening in Ninh Binh. Take a boat ride through the emerald waterways, caves and limestone mountains of Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Hoa Lu Ancient Town, climb about 200 steps up Ky Lan Mountain to Bac Pagoda for views over the village and karst landscape. After dark, taste local food along lantern-lit streets, then board a traditional lantern boat to enjoy tea and snacks and release a floating lantern.

This afternoon-to-evening tour picks you up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter at 12:00 and travels to Ninh Binh in an air-conditioned vehicle. In one trip you'll enjoy the Trang An boat tour, Hoa Lu Ancient Town and Bac Pagoda, local food tasting and a night lantern boat cruise before returning to Hanoi the same day. An English-speaking guide accompanies you.

Glide through waterways and caves in Trang An

In Trang An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, take a boat along emerald waterways between limestone mountains and caves. Visiting in the afternoon lets you enjoy the scenery away from the busiest crowds.

Climb Ky Lan Mountain for views over Hoa Lu

Head to Hoa Lu Ancient Town to visit the peaceful Bac Pagoda (Bao Thap Ky Lan Tu). Climb about 200 steps to the top of Ky Lan Mountain for panoramic views over the ancient village and the surrounding karst landscape around sunset.

Taste local food on lantern-lit streets and board a lantern boat

In the evening, stroll the lantern-lit streets and stop at several spots to taste Ninh Binh specialties. A light local dinner or street food tasting is included.

Finally, board a traditional lantern boat for a relaxing night cruise. Enjoy Vietnamese tea and local snacks on board, take in the riverside views and release a floating lantern.
