Thoroughly enjoyed making myself a custom ring. Lots of examples to help with ideas. It’s very hands on, which makes it a special experience, as you are involved in all steps. Took about an hour, but as a beginner mine was a fairly simple design. There were others there much longer, producing some pretty stunning pieces and there didn’t seem to be any rush.

La actividad estuvo bien, pero en realidad no tarda mas de una hora, en mi caso fueron cuando mucho 40min. El proceso fue super rápido y no hay una explicación como tal de cada parte del proceso. El resultado final fue bueno, un anillo pero sería bueno aprender más y que no sea todo a la carrera.

Los profesores muy buenos, te dejan hacer casi todo el proceso por ti mismo y es muy gratificante, pase un buen momentos y me lleve mi anillo que ahora amo

We really enjoyed this activity, the people who help make the jewellery work you were SO kind, patient and knowledgeable. They gave us a lot of independence but helped us with the tricky parts. Our guide worked there for 35 years and he was so talented and kind. If you ever think about going, DO IT! We have pieces that will carry 100000 memories

With up to 5 g of silver, you can choose to make a ring, pendant, earrings, bracelet or safety pin. You go through the whole process yourself, from melting and forging to polishing the silver, and take your finished piece home. No prior experience is needed, making it a great way to try a traditional local craft during your stay in Ubud.

Make your own silver jewelry
with an experienced silversmith

Spend 1 to 3 hours making silver jewelry with a silversmith at a workshop in Ubud. You receive 1 to 5 g of silver depending on your design, and all the materials and tools you need are provided. Snacks, mineral water and free Wi-Fi are available during the class.

Choose your design from the catalog

First, you are introduced to the materials and tools, then you browse the workshop's catalog to choose your jewelry design. You can choose a ring, pendant, earrings, bracelet or safety pin, and you can also create your own design if it can be finished within 3 hours.

Melt, forge and polish the silver

With the silversmith's help, you melt the silver, forge it into shape, polish it and braze it yourself. You can also add gemstones to your design if you like (extra charge). Take your finished jewelry home with you.

※ Each participant can make only one piece of silver jewelry, and silver cannot be shared with others.
※ Silver usage is counted as 5 g even if you use less, and an extra 100,000 IDR per gram applies over 5 g.
