The lesson was fantastic. Baron was an amazing coach. He was very knowledgeable and had me catching every wave by the end of the lesson. The instructors were very friendly and spoke great English. Overall, if was a great experience and I would recommend 27 surf school and Baron as an instructor to anyone in Bali looking to learn how to surf.

Choose a beginner or intermediate level, and your instructor coaches you throughout on posture, paddling and standing up on the board. Soft, safe surfboards, rash guards and all other equipment are provided. Start your surf lesson
with a 1:1 instructor at Kuta Beach

Meet your local instructor at 27 Surf School on Kuta Beach and receive your surfboard, rash guard and other gear. With the transfer options, you are picked up at your hotel and taken straight to the beach. The lesson is one-on-one and lasts about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Learn the basics on the beach

First, learn essential safety rules, paddling technique and how to stand up on the board on the beach. Your instructor demonstrates the correct surfing stance and how to position yourself on the board.

Head into the water and ride the waves

Once you have the basics, head into the sea. Your instructor stays right beside you, giving real-time feedback on balance and paddling and guiding you to stand up and ride a wave. After the lesson, relax on the beach or enjoy Kuta Beach until sunset.

Extra charges are paid in cash on site for Jimbaran, Canggu and Sanur (IDR 80,000), Batu Belig, Umalas and Kondangan (IDR 50,000) and Nusa Dua (IDR 100,000). For groups under 6, pickup is by scooter.
