Esperienza incredibile e indimenticabile! Vale assolutamente la pena fare tutta la strada (con trasporti un po’ lunghi e movimentati), per poter accedere a uno dei posti piú sorprendenti al mondo.

Die Vulkanwanderung selbst war für uns das absolute Highlight: landschaftlich beeindruckend, lohnenswert u.von den Guides kompetent u.freundlich begleitet. Dieses Erlebnis würden wir definitiv weiterempfehlen, insbes. erfahrenen Wanderern. Leider konnte das Drumherum nicht mithalten. Bei der Premium-Variante entsteht der Eindruck einer kleinen Gruppe von etwa fünf Personen, tatsächlich waren wir 31 Teilnehmer. Sehr viel Zeit entfiel auf die An- und Abreise: Abholung um 13 Uhr, Ankunft beim Abendessen erst gegen 20:30 Uhr nach Medizincheck u.zweistündiger Fährfahrt. Die Unterkunft war einfacher als erwartet u.eher Hostelstandard; zunächst fehlten Toilettenpapier (erst auf Nachfrage) u. bezogene Bettwäsche. Nach der Wanderung gab es Frühstück u. nur eine kalte Dusche. Die Rückfahrt startete erst um 14 Uhr, anschließend folgten weitere fünf Stunden Fahrt. Fazit: Das Vulkanerlebnis war großartig – die langen Warte- und Fahrzeiten sowie die Unterkunft waren jedoch enttäuschend.

Die Tour war wirklich toll! alles war inklusive und man musste sich um nichts mehr kümmern. die Guides waren auch echt super nett und haben ständig darauf geschaut das keiner zurückbleibt und jeder sich wohl fühlt. die Unterkunft war sauber und das essen lecker!🤩🤩

Travel from Bali by ferry to Java and hike up the Kawah Ijen volcano. After dinner and a rest at a guesthouse near Ijen, descend into the crater in the middle of the night to see the blue flames, then watch the sunrise over the world's largest acidic lake. You can also see sulfur miners carrying loads inside the crater. Round-trip transfers from Bali, ferries, dinner and breakfast, a private room, national park entry, a gas mask and other gear, and an English-speaking guide are all included.

Cross from Bali to Java
to see Ijen's blue flames

Depart from Seminyak (1:00 PM) or Mengwi (2:00 PM) in Bali and take a ferry from Gilimanuk port to Java (about 1 hour). Rest at a guesthouse in a village near Ijen, then climb the volcano in the middle of the night to see the blue flames in the crater and sunrise over the acidic lake, returning to Bali the next day. Your English-speaking guide shares the terrain, history, geology and local traditions.

Dinner and rest at a guesthouse

After arriving in Java, obtain a health certificate and transfer to a village near Kawah Ijen. Enjoy a Javanese dinner (vegetarian and halal) and rest in a private room with hot water and Wi-Fi at GOOD KARMA Ijen guesthouse before the night hike.

Descend into the crater at night for the blue flames

Leave the base camp (1,900 m) around 1:00 AM and hike for about 1 hour 30 minutes to the summit (about 2,300 m). With a gas mask and flashlight, descend into the crater to see the blue flames and watch sulfur miners at work up close.

Watch sunrise over the acidic lake and return to Bali

At dawn, watch the sun rise over the world's largest acidic lake as its turquoise color slowly appears. After the hike, enjoy a traditional Javanese breakfast at a local family's home, take a shower and ferry back to Bali.

How to find it:
From Seminyak and Kerobokan, depart at 1:00 PM from Gusto Gelato & Caffé. From Canggu, Mengwi and Ubud, depart at 2:00 PM from the Indomaret convenience store in Mengwitani. On the way back, drop-offs are at Pemuteran (around 1:00 PM), Munduk (around 3:00 PM), Indomaret Mengwitani (around 5:00 PM) and Seminyak (around 7:00 PM).
