Melasti Beach lies below the cliffs of Ungasan in southern Bali. With this ticket you can watch the Kecak dance held daily from 6 PM to 7 PM on the circular beach stage. Enjoy the Kecak dance and various acrobatic performances while watching the sunset. Arrive before 5:30 PM to secure a seat with the best view.

Bali's Kecak dance, created in the 1930s

The Kecak dance was created in the 1930s by Balinese artist Wayan Limbak together with German painter Walter Spies. It is inspired by the sacred Sanghyang dance once performed in Hindu temples to ward off misfortune and disease, and its name comes from the rhythmic chanting of "cak, cak, cak" throughout the performance. Today it is loved at cultural venues across Bali for showcasing the island's heritage and dramatic storytelling.

A stage of acrobatics and fire

Various acrobatic performances unfold along with the chanting of dozens of performers. As the sun sets and the lights come on, the circular stage by the sea takes on an even more dramatic atmosphere.

Tiered seating by the sunset beach

Tiered seats surround the stage, so you can take in both the sea and the performance. The venue is wheelchair and stroller accessible, but you need to go up a flight of stairs to reach the show area.
