This day trip takes you from London by air-conditioned coach to Windsor Castle, Bath, Lacock and Stonehenge in a single day. See Windsor Castle, a royal residence for more than 900 years, and Stonehenge, the prehistoric monument on Salisbury Plain. Enjoy a guided tour and free time in Bath, the Georgian city where Jane Austen once lived, and stop at the 14th-century George Inn in Lacock, a village also known as a film location. Choose by option whether admission to Windsor Castle and Stonehenge and a pub lunch are included.
Depart from Victoria Coach Station at 7:45 am and visit Windsor, Bath, Lacock and Stonehenge in turn aboard a premium air-conditioned coach. A local guide accompanies you and provides commentary in English. The tour returns to London in the evening and ends at Gloucester Road Station.
After about 1 hour 30 minutes on the road, spend about 2 hours in Windsor. Rising above the River Thames, Windsor Castle has been home to many monarchs from William the Conqueror to the current King. With the admission option, you can visit the State Apartments and St George's Chapel, where many royal weddings have taken place. On days when Windsor Castle is closed (currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays), the visit is replaced by a walking tour of Windsor town and free time.
In the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath, enjoy a guided panoramic tour and about 1 hour of free time. Admire the Georgian crescents and terraces, explore Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge, or enjoy afternoon tea at the Pump Room. Admission to the Roman Baths is not included.
Next, head to the National Trust village of Lacock. Walk along cobbled streets lined with timber-framed cottages and spend about 1 hour for lunch at the George Inn, a 14th-century pub that has welcomed travellers for more than 680 years. The pub lunch (fish and chips) is included only in options with lunch.
Finally, spend about 1 hour 30 minutes at Stonehenge, the prehistoric stone circle standing on Salisbury Plain. With the Stonehenge admission option, learn about its history and purpose through the exhibitions and archaeological finds at the visitor centre. Afterwards, the coach takes about 2 hours to return to London.
※ The order of visits may change depending on traffic or operational reasons.
※ If the George Inn is unavailable, a similar alternative venue will be arranged, and lunch may be served later than usual or replaced by an early dinner depending on the day's schedule.
