on World Heritage Iriomote Island

Meet your guide at Uehara Port on Iriomote Island to start the day. About 90% of the island remains untouched by modern development, so you can explore both the sea and the river while your guide explains the island's unique ecosystem. Choose either the SUP course or the canoe course when booking.

Paddle along a mangrove river

Paddle a SUP or canoe for about 1 hour 30 minutes along a mangrove river surrounded by ancient trees and plants rarely seen elsewhere. Look for colorful kingfishers and rare crabs among the arching roots. You travel to the mangrove river by car.

Snorkel among tropical fish and coral in clear waters

Take a speedboat for about 10 minutes and snorkel in clear waters for about 1 hour. Swim among tropical fish and coral, and with luck you may even see a sea turtle. If the tide allows, you may also visit the "Miracle Island," a sandbar that appears only at low tide.

Receive your guide's photos for free

Your guide takes photos in the mangrove forest and underwater with a professional waterproof camera, and all photo data is provided free of charge. The operator PiPi is certified as an "Excellent Safety Marine Leisure Provider" by the Okinawa Prefectural Public Safety Commission, and all guides are certified water rescuers. Life jackets must be worn during all water activities.
