Un dia inolvidable. Un poco largo el camino de ida, pero valió la pena. El pueblo es muy bonito y el castillo espectacular. Una gran experiencia para los fans de la serie. Recomiendo entrar a ver la exposición egipcia, aunque solo sea por estar un rato más dentro del castillo y poder ver otras estancias. También fantástico estar un rato en los jardines. El guía Rob y el chofer Michael muy agradables y atentos. Muy recomendable.

Highclere Castle mal live zu sehen, war schon interessant. Und auch das Dorf Bampton war sehr hübsch. Leider war der Guide nur eingesprungen, und hatte nicht wirklich was zu erzählen. Kann natürlich passieren, aber wenn ich nicht ein Gespräch des Busfahrers zufällig gehört hätte, wüsste ich das nicht. Wenn der Guide das gleich am Anfang kommuniziert hätte, wäre das vielleicht eine schöne Gruppenexperience geworden, wo jede Person was hätte zustehen können. So ist man einfach nur kopfschüttelnd alleine geblieben. Schade. Und dafür war es dann schon viel Geld. Ich wünsche dem Guide nichts schlechtes, aber das war unprofessionell.

Our guide Rory knew everything there is to know about Downton Abbey and I particularly enjoyed his analysis of some of the concepts of the series (such as "time"). Could have listened to him for hours! David, our driver, was very friendly as well and a good driver 👍 Please give them both a raise 😁 The tour was well paced with enough time to explore the village, the castle and the gardens, if you want to see everything. Personally, I found the frequent questions about everybody having gotten allll the photos they wanted a bit unnecessary, but I understand that some people only book it for the photo ops 🙄 I had a wonderful day with all things Downton and would book the tour again 🥰
