Experience agroecology first-hand at Grow Barnet farm

Meet your guide at Grow Barnet, an agroecology farm located at Totteridge Academy. For about 1 hour 45 minutes, take part in regenerative farming tasks such as crop growing, learn how a working farm operates, and browse the weekly market stall selling the variety of produce grown on the farm. All necessary tools and equipment are provided.

Meet the Totteridge Yew, London's oldest tree

Walk about 15 minutes from the farm to the Totteridge Yew. See London's oldest tree, said to have stood on this spot for 1,000 to 2,000 years, and take some photos.

Walk through the woodland and lakeside of Darlands Nature Reserve

Walk another 15 minutes to Darlands Nature Reserve, where you'll spend about 45 minutes exploring the impressive woodland and the area around Darlands Lake with your guide. Hear stories about permaculture forest gardens and wetlands protected from development by local residents, and pick up environmental knowledge you can put into practice at home.

Finish the tour at The Orange Tree pub

Finally, stop at The Orange Tree pub and relax for about 15 minutes, sharing the day's experiences with your fellow walkers. Drinks at the pub are not included and can be purchased separately if you wish.
