Starting in Piccadilly, you walk through St James's to the area around Buckingham Palace for about 2 hours, hearing stories about the people, ceremonies and traditions of the British monarchy. The tour is led personally by Christopher, an experienced Westminster Guide, in a relaxed small group of up to 8 guests.

Your guide shows carefully selected images on an iPad to explain lost buildings, historical figures and how London once looked. The pace is unhurried, leaving plenty of time for photos, questions and conversation.

Through the streets and squares of St James's to The Mall

Pass Piccadilly Circus and stroll along Jermyn Street, Duke of York Street and St James's Square, hearing about royal history, aristocratic life, gentlemen's clubs and long-established luxury shops. Then continue past Pall Mall and Waterloo Place and walk down the Duke of York Steps to The Mall.

See Clarence House and Buckingham Palace from outside

Pass the statues of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Marlborough House, Friary Court, Clarence House and the Victoria Memorial before reaching Buckingham Palace. Your guide explains each place as you take a close look at royal London.

Finish at Fortnum & Mason via Spencer House and St James's Palace

The tour continues beyond Buckingham Palace. Walk past Spencer House, St James's Palace, King Street, Bury Street and Jermyn Street, and finish outside Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly.
