The official name is the Nevada Groom Lake Test Site, and it is known that new weapons such as the U-2, SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft, and stealth bombers were developed here, and that tests on these weapons are conducted. This area is strictly off-limits to the general public, with warning signs posted stating that civilians approaching will be shot immediately, and strict security at all times. Area 51 became famous due to theories about the Apollo moon landing hoax and the research on UFOs, which are extraterrestrial aircraft.
