Small Group Premium Northern Lights Tour in Reykjavik

Our devoted driver/guide Michael was so determined to find clear skies that we traveled from place to place for three hours before he found the aurora. The van was comfortable, the hot chocolate was good and the small group size was perfect. Seeing the beauty of the aurora in the last hour was absolutely thrilling. Thank you !

We had a really lovely experience on our Northern Lights tour, even though unfortunately the lights weren’t visible to us with the naked eye. We were able to capture them in photos using a longer exposure, which was still really cool, but obviously we would have loved to see them properly! Our guide was absolutely fantastic and tried so hard to find the best possible location for us. You could really tell how passionate he was about the Northern Lights and the science behind them, and he was incredibly informative throughout. Even without the lights, the night sky was absolutely beautiful. Standing in the crisp Icelandic air in almost complete silence, surrounded by stars, was a really special experience. The hot chocolate was also lovely and very welcome! The minivan was comfortable, and the pick-up and drop-off were very convenient. Did the tour on the night of 25th September with Devin (hope I got your name right). The forecast was “low to moderate” chance of seeing the lights and there was decent cloud cover so I was a bit anxious we wouldn’t see them but felt reassured that there were unlimited retries offered with this company (also learnt that the forecast is never accurate). He was patient and persisted in finding the lights even when I had given up hope - lo and behold we were extremely lucky to see them at the end of the night around 1am. Truly a religious experience. The bus is comfortable, max 19 people with free wifi, and Devin gave us interesting facts about Iceland and northern lights along the way (although he has a very soothing radio talk show voice so made it hard to stay awake at times.
