The easiest way to exchange tickets

When you arrive at Kansai Airport, you need to exchange the voucher you received from WAUG for an actual Haruka limited express train ticket. Don't worry, it's not difficult at all if you follow the steps below.

1. Please prepare your passport and mobile voucher.
2. Select a language from the top menu of the ticket machine. (English, Chinese, Korean supported)
3. Select “Recieve reserved ticket”
4. Select “Exchange for Japan Pass”
5. Scan the mobile voucher QR code at the correct location .
6. Please select the pass start date. (You can select a date up to 1 month later)
7. Click Agree to the information regarding pass receipt eligibility and personal information. (2 questions in total)
8. Scan your electronic passport at the correct location . (If it is not an electronic passport, it cannot be scanned and received in person)
9. Check the product on the confirmation page and receive your rail pass.

Ticket exchange is now possible at Kansai Airport's white ticket machines.

It used to be possible only at green ticket machines, but now it can also be exchanged at white ticket machines. Please note that this is only possible from the airport to the city center.

*To travel from the airport to Kobe or Nara, you need to purchase a ticket from a green ticket machine because you need to transfer to a regular train at Osaka Station/Tennoji Station. Please do not issue tickets using the white ticket machines.

How to take the Haruka train from Kansai Airport

Now that you've exchanged your ticket, you really have to go boarding, right? From Korea, will I really be able to take the Haruka express train from the airport? You must be very worried. However, there is a Haruka express train station connected to the airport, so anyone can find it without difficulty.

Check movement order:
1. Take the escalator to the 2nd floor at the airport
2. Check Gate B on the 2nd floor
3. Check the ticket gate for the Haruka limited express train to Kyoto.
4. Insert your Haruka limited express train ticket into the ticket gate. Done!

Is it a reserved seat?

Haruka limited express train tickets can be used for both reserved and non-reserved seats. Please reserve reserved seats at the ticket machine or Midori no Madoguchi . For non-reserved seats, you can board 'Non-Reserved 5-6' on site . This is a space where non-reserved seats can sit freely, so you can board here.

Once you take your seat, a flight attendant will come up to you after departure and ask you to show your ticket. At this point, all you have to do is show your ticket.
