What to RememberWhat to Remember

  • When making a reservation, be sure to provide your name on the passport.
  • Same-day booking available. 
  • The voucher is valid for 90 days from the purchase date. 
  • Please reserve according to the seating direction you prefer. 
  • Your reservation is not complete until you have received a confirmation voucher.
  • Redeem the ticket at the ticketing kiosks at designated stations or at Midori-no-Madoguchi.
  • Only for passport holders from governments outside of Japan. However, permanent residents and long-term residents (students, work visas, etc.) are not eligible. 
  • A copy of your passport will not be accepted.
  • Avilable to use in all Osaka City, JR lines. 
  • Ticket machines are available in Japanese, Korean, English and Chinese.
  • There is a passport verification procedure when redeeming a ticket. Please be sure to bring a valid passport.
  • You can use the tickets at the automatic ticket gate.
  • Please check the departing and arriving stations before your trip as it is not possible to use it in the opposite direction or to make changes.
  • If the train of the desired time is full, please use it as a non-reserved seat ticket or wait for the next train At this time, if the train is used for a non-reserved seat, the difference between the unreserved seat and reserved seat is non-refundable.
  • You can only get on and off once per purchased section, and you cannot get off at other stations.
  • Please note that if a ticket is lost (including theft), it cannot be reissued.
  • Tickets are not usable at Shin Onomichi Station and Shin Kurashiki Station, which have similar names to Onomichi Station and Kurashiki Station.

  • The machines are only available in designated stations.

  • When you redeem the ticket, press the blue button and not the purple button. Clich here to see an image.
  • If the ticketing kiosk is broken, you can still redeem your ticket by presenting your passport and voucher at Midori no Madoguchi.
  • You must bring your passport.
  • When making a reservation, please write your legal name correctly as it is written on your passport.
  • Refunds are unavilable after the voucher has been exchanged for a physical ticket.
  • If the train you want to board is full, seat selection may be unavailable, and the difference between reserved and non-reserved seats will not be refunded even if you cannot use a reserved seat.

Cancellation and Refund

E-tickets can be canceled for free within the validity period. If the ticket is unused after the exchange, a refund is available after deducting a fee of 10% of the purchase price at JR Midori no Madoguchi. Please note that refunds for unused tickets can only be obtained at JR Midori no Madoguchi, and not through WAUG.
