How to get tickets
1. Please prepare your passport and mobile voucher.
2. Select a language from the top menu of the ticket machine. (English, Chinese, Korean supported)
3. Select “Recieve reserved ticket”
4. Select “Exchange for Japan Pass”
5. Scan the mobile voucher QR code at the correct location .
6. Please select the pass start date. (You can select a date up to 1 month later)
7. Click Agree to the information regarding pass receipt eligibility and personal information. (2 questions in total)
8. Scan your electronic passport at the correct location . (If it is not an electronic passport, it cannot be scanned and received in person)
9. Check the product on the confirmation page and receive your rail pass.

• It is not available to Japanese passport holders.
• Once the voucher has been exchanged for a real ticket, it is only valid on the date specified when exchanging the ticket.
• This product is an automatic reservation product and can be used on the same day of reservation.
• The voucher validity period is 90 days (date of purchase, not date of use).
• If you are making a reservation for two or more tickets, please enter the information for all of the prospective users rather than duplicating the representative's information. Otherwise, no ticket will be issued.
• If you start using the ticket after issuing it, no refund will be possible even if the train is suspended.
• Ticket machines can only issue tickets if they are marked “5689” and have a passport reader.
• Users with residence status in Japan such as permanent resident card holders, work visas, or student visas cannot use the product. (limited to short-term stay)
• Physical ticket machines are available in Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and Korean.
• If the ticket issuing machine is defective or there is no IC chip in your passport, please go to the counter (Midori no Madoguchi) at the designated station to receive a physical ticket.
• Station counters (Midori-no-madoguchi) have location information for each station.
• If you need an additional ticket when traveling, please purchase it at JR West Japan Station before boarding.
• When issuing tickets, please click the purple “Exchange for Japan Pass (E-Ticket)” button rather than the blue “JR-WEST ONLINE TRAIN RESERVATION” button.
• Reserved seat tickets for limited express HARUKA, Shinkansen, etc. can be issued. Unlimited reserved seat tickets are available, but from the 7th time onwards, please reserve a ticket at Midori-no-madoguchi (みどりの窓口) rather than a ticket machine.
